Your face is a spreadsheet: why I measure everything

AN

Hot take that shouldn't be hot: if you can't put a number on it, you can't improve it.

Before Mavqen I kept a literal spreadsheet โ€” gonial angle estimates from protractor screenshots, monthly bodyweight, sleep averages. Primitive, but it worked because measurement kills two demons at once: cope AND dysmorphia. You can't convince yourself a method works when the number didn't move, and you can't spiral about a flaw the number says is average.

Now the app does it for me, but the principle stands. Measure monthly. Trust trends, not single reports. Argue with data, not mirrors.

What's everyone's most improved metric since starting?

Skin evenness +23 points in 5 months (tret + azelaic + actually wearing SPF). The monthly re-rate kept me going through the retinization valley, ngl.

Submental angle. Chin tucks are free and my profile pics stopped lying to me. Posture guide should be mandatory reading.

Counterpoint: measurement obsession has its own failure mode โ€” metric-chasing photos with distorted angles to game the score. The controlled-conditions rule exists for a reason. Follow it.
