Orthotropics-adjacent claims have some grounding in pediatric orofacial myology: tongue posture and mouth breathing genuinely influence facial development in growing children. In adults, sutures are fused; no controlled study demonstrates measurable skeletal remodeling from tongue posture. What adults CAN get: subtly improved submental (under-chin) appearance from better resting tongue and head posture — a soft-tissue effect, not bone. Harmless, occasionally useful, wildly oversold.
