How the SBR score works
What every surgeon is assessed on, how your answers shape a match, and what the data cannot tell you.
What the score looks at
Before & After Gallery
Quality, consistency, and volume of results.
Board Certification
Verification of relevant board certifications.
Consultation Quality
Patient reports on consultation thoroughness.
Ethics & Transparency
Honesty in marketing and managing expectations.
Innovation & Technique
Use of modern, evidence-based surgical methods.
Male Procedure Expertise
Specialization in male anatomy and aesthetics.
Price Transparency
Clarity and availability of pricing information.
Relative Price
Quoted price measured against the median for the procedure.
Revision & Aftercare
Post-operative support and revision policies.
Safety Record
Historical safety data and complication rates.
Each surgeon is scored on these from their own record, and the SBR score combines them into one number out of ten. Relative Price is deliberately not “cheaper is better”: a quote far below the norm for a procedure is treated with as much caution as one far above it, because an outlier-low price usually signals a different procedure than the one being advertised.
Match score vs. SBR score
The SBR score is the same for everyone. The match score is yours: it leans towards what you told us matters most, and accounts for how far you will travel, your budget, and documented experience with patients of your background.
Ordering by match score therefore answers “who best fits what I said I wanted”, not “who is the better surgeon”. Both numbers are shown side by side on the results page so a strong match on a mediocre SBR score is visible rather than hidden.
What the data covers
The directory is imported from an independent research directory. It is research, not a marketplace: no surgeon pays to be listed, ranked, or removed. Coverage is uneven, and pretending otherwise would make the ranking look more authoritative than it is.
Not every surgeon has a recorded location, published prices, credential entries or a profile photo. Missing locations are left blank rather than inferred from a clinic name, and prices are never invented — where a surgeon publishes none, Relative Price scores neutral instead of being guessed at.
Nothing here is medical advice, and a high score is not a referral. Verify board certification and facility accreditation with the relevant national body before booking a consultation.
