Surgery
Hair Transplant (FUE / FUT)
Moves DHT-resistant follicles that then grow permanently. It does not stop the loss around them — transplanting without medical therapy is how people end up with an island.
Also called: fue · hair transplant · turkey hair transplant · hair restoration
Verdict — legit
Does what it claims, with evidence behind it.
Evidence grade B
At least one good randomised trial, or consistent findings across controlled studies.
Mechanism
Follicles from the occipital donor zone retain their resistance to DHT after relocation (donor dominance), so grafted hair persists while native hair in the recipient area continues miniaturising.

The procedure works and the results are permanent for the grafted hair. Everything that goes wrong is planning. Transplanting a 22-year-old in active loss without `finasteride` or `dutasteride` produces a transplanted hairline in front of a field that keeps receding — the classic result that needs repeated surgery and eventually runs out of donor supply. Donor area is finite and the design has to assume the loss pattern at 50, not at 25. The low-cost clinic circuit varies enormously; over-harvested donor zones and unnaturally straight, low hairlines are difficult and sometimes impossible to correct. Stabilise medically first, then operate.
