Jade & Quartz Face Rollers
A pleasant massage object. The lymphatic-drainage and de-puffing claims have no controlled support beyond what any light massage gives.
Also called: jade roller · rose quartz roller · face roller
Verdict — cope
The mechanism does not hold. Your time is better spent elsewhere.
Evidence grade D
Nobody has demonstrated this works. Note that this grades the evidence, not the danger — read the verdict for that.
Mechanism
Mechanical pressure transiently displaces interstitial fluid and produces reactive hyperaemia — identical to what fingers do, with no property of the stone contributing.

Separated from `gua-sha` because the claim is different: gua-sha at least applies real sustained pressure along tissue planes, whereas rolling is light, brief and mostly decorative. The lymphatic story is the giveaway — facial lymphatics drain on their own, and no study shows a roller changing that measurably. The material is irrelevant; jade, quartz and plastic behave identically. If you enjoy it and it gets you to spend two minutes massaging in a moisturiser, keep it. Do not expect it in an ROI-ranked protocol.
